Lingo adds a new dimension to Director movies beyond what the score offers. It provides the following additional features for use in an interactive multimedia applications:
• Interactivity
• Sprite ontrol
• Sound control
• Travelling and exploration
• Controlling External Files and Applications
• Interfaces
• Math operations
• Parent Scripts
Describe each of these features, and for each one, describe an example of its use in an interactive multimedia applications.[15 marks ]

• Interactivity: means that the system can evaluate and respond to user actions.
• Sprite control: allows the designer to animate sprites and control heir location and appearance in response to changing movie conditions.
• Sound control: allows the system to control the playback of sounds
• Travelling and exploration: allows the user to navigate into different segments of the movie or branch to another movie.
• Controlling ternal Files and Applications:ballow he system to call other files or applications and to release them when you finish.
• Interfaces: allow the designer to create common interface components such as buttons, menus, checkboxes, radial buttons
• Math operations: allows the user to evaluate mathematical expressions and relay the results for use in the movie.
• Parent Scripts: allows the designer to create scripts that can be used to generate a set of objects that share characteristics but behave independently. (1)for each of the above points; (1) for an appropriate application example for each point (maximum 15 points).
